Kevin Sorbo talks Hercules, Kull, and the industry in general.
To start off the rounds of interviews at the Lexington Comic and Toy Convention 2018, I approached Kevin Sorbo. A quick note here- I am an easygoing person who is generally very easy to have a discussion with, until you put me in front of a camera. I love to write, and generally stay away from the more social aspect of it. But with EJ being in Japan, he told me to go for it. So I did. I made mistakes, stumbled over questions, but you know what? I had a blast doing it. And the celebrities were really cool about it, helping me with a few tips along the way.
With the crowd being in record numbers, we had to keep the interviews to a few minutes. Kevin Sorbo was such a nice person, helping me break the ice and got right into it. He was, in fact, into gaming, and would be happy to reprise his role as Hercules for a new game. Let’s just try to sweep that Nintendo 64 Hercules game under the rug. I also discussed how Robert E Howard’s Kull the Conqueror would have been much better with an R rating. He goes on to inform me that it was meant to have a hard R rating.
